STEM Class 2:
More programming microcontrollers with Python!
Welcome to the home page for the second STEM Programming class. This class will cover similar material to the first STEM programming class but will use a new integrated “circuit playground express bluefruit” board that puts all the controls, sensors and programmable LEDs all on one convenient board.
We will be spending a bit less time on the electronics aspect in this class and a lot more programming. As with Class1, we will be using CircutPython to program the controllers. This is a variant of the Python 3 language and is both easy to learn and a “real” professional programming language used every day by thousands and thousands of programmers, including the instructor.
This class will be taught by Breanna Anderson and Ben Townsend, both professional programmers with decades of experience in world-class companies such as Microsoft and Amazon.
Classes will be held every Monday from September 13th till December 6th except for November 29th, from 6PM to 7PM at the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center, 8251 Kendall Rd, Maple Falls, WA 98266.
The class is free including the microcontroller and related accessories. Students or their parent/guardian must contact the lead instructor, Breanna Anderson, before attending class.
